It's a Friday. I would like to say "Thank God it's Friday"... but first of all I'm an atheist, and second, I don't work in an office! I'm free of a Monday - Friday, 9-5 grind that the ranks of office drones suffer, week after week. In a way, I sympathize with these souls trapped in a box 8 hours per day, but then again, we ALL have the power to change that and reclaim our lives. That is what I did long ago, and now I have an ideal work life, and frankly, it was a simple task to accomplish. More below... click "Read more..."
After a brief one month break from the gym, I'm returning to weight training tonight. I feel fully refreshed and ready to train hard again. Many people I know would loathe to even consider resting for an entire month, but it is VERY healthy to recuperate like that.
Recuperation will be important for me, as I plan to start gymnastics for the first time ever, probably in the summer. I really need to be supple and flexible by the time I start gymnastics, rather than stiff and scarred by injured wrists, popped calves, etc.
I won't be taking any more supplements for bodybuilding. I never used many supplements other than creatine powder and glutamine tablets, but this time I'll just get my dose of those two nutrients from natural foods by altering my diet. Yeah I know, I'll have to eat a lot of red meat to get the creatine, but that's all right -- I'm certainly no vegetarian.
